Biography

Benny is a Project Director with over 30 years’ experience in both Public and Private Sectors. He has led some of the highest profile and sensitive commissions for public sector Clients over the last 20 years. As an ex-Chief Officer in a unitary authority and Director of Public Sector Consulting Businesses Benny is well placed to understand the complex needs and demands that the public sector face.

This coupled with his experience at Board level in construction and infrastructure companies gives him a unique set of skills. Benny has extensive local, national and multisector experience in business case development, strategic delivery and project feasibility, options appraisal, governance and assurance activities for a wide range of major infrastructure projects and programmes, across various industries and sectors. He is highly experienced with HM Treasury Green Book principles and is an accredited UK Cabinet Office OGC Major Capital Programme Assurance Reviewer. Benny led the teams that delivered Stirling’s City Deal application and has led on the development of various other City Deal and other strategic business cases and delivery projects across Scotland.

Benny is currently the Project Director for the University ‘Glasgow Riverside Innovation District’ (GRID) programme which includes the Strength in Places Bids alongside a range of other partnership innovation deliverables.
