Curriculum Development Policy Manager
Liam Cahill is a Policy Manager within the Scottish Government’s Learning Directorate. He has worked in education policy since 2015 and currently has policy responsibility for Curriculum for Excellence and Learning for Sustainability.
Since January 2018, Liam has been responsible for developing the Scottish Government’s new Learning for Sustainability Action Plan. The plan gives effect to the recommendations of the concluding report of the Learning for Sustainability National Implementation Group – ‘Vision 2030+’. As part of his work, Liam is involved in considering how the learning estate in Scotland can be adapted in ways which incorporate increased natural green space and allow increased environmentally sustainable policies and practices.
