Biography

Lynn has over 20 years teaching experience of early years and all primary stages and has worked across three local authorities.  She is currently completing the final dissertation of the University of Strathclyde’s Early Years Pedagogue Masters with a focus on the role of free play within educational settings.

In 2015 the community lunch and outdoor play work Lynn led within the Orbiston area of Bellshill between education and third sector settings won the ‘Transforming Lives Through Partnership’ award at the national Scottish Education Awards.

Alongside teaching, Lynn is a published author and illustrator.  She notably project managed, designed and illustrated the award winning multi-media Scottish Government approach to road safety education for young children from birth to Early Level within Curriculum for Excellence, ‘Go Safe! – Ziggy’s Road Safety Mission’ and the Bookbug ‘Out and About’ buggy book  gifted to all babies of 6 weeks of age in Scotland.

Lynn is currently seconded from her management post within St Gerard’s Primary and Nursery Class to lead on ensuring quality for the 1140hrs Early Learning and Childcare Expansion in North Lanarkshire Council.
