Biography

Neil Craik-Collins began his career as an English Teacher at Forrester High School in 2000. He was seconded to Edinburgh City Council to lead on literacy development and intervention, before returning to Forrester to take up the permanent position of Principal Teacher of English, Literacy and Media. He then moved to East Lothian to become the Curriculum Depute at Ross High School. For the previous 16 months, Neil has been seconded to John Muir House as the Lead Officer for Curriculum and Estate Development. His strategic remit addresses (3-18) Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce, Employability, Curriculum and the strategic expansion of the regional school estate, working in collaboration with key partners to negotiate the best outcomes for the young people of East Lothian.
