One of the founders of O’Donnell Brown, Sam is involved in overseeing various scales of project throughout the UK including Education projects, large scale housing, commercial refurbishment and extension and masterplanning schemes. All in combination with practice management.
Prior to his current role, he managed the architecture team at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for 7 years, where he was responsible for overseeing all projects, involving coordination, design management, client liaison, dispute resolution and consultant appointments, as well as project liaison, cost management and contract administration.
During his time at LBTH, he also fulfilled the role of Client Design Advisor, attending regular project meetings to comment on design aspects/check drawings and technical aspects/offer advice on any direct design queries/advise on how best deal with issues.
Sam is also actively involved in architectural education, over the years having fulfilled the roles of Associate Design Lecturer, Study Support Tutor and Professional Practice Examiner at Central St. Martins in London. He is currently a Studio Design Tutor at the University of Strathclyde and Studio Design tutor at Glasgow School of Art.
